Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado confirmed that she will have another movie with Kapatid actor Derek Ramsay following the success of their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “English Only, Please.”
In an interview with Push, the former “StarStruck” contestant said that they were overwhelmed by the support and they did not expect that the viewers will accept their tandem
“Sobrang overwhelmed yung feeling… Hindi namin ini-expect na ganu’n ang mangyayari, na tatanggapin ng tao yung tandem namin at ang movie namin. Salamat talaga sa mga nanood at manonood pa,” she said.
According to some reports, “English Only, Please” which is still showing in theaters nationwide has already earned more than 100 million. The movie also earned Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay a Best Actress and Best Actor award during the MMFF awards night.
For their next movie, the 27-year-old star said that the management is already talking about it. But she clarified that it is not a sequel of “English Only, Please” and the producer will not be Quantum films, which produced their first movie.
“Hindi ito sequel ng English Only, Please. Hindi rin Quantum Films ang magpu-produce… Iba naman, ibang genre naman,” she added.
Aside from the movie, Jennylyn Mercado shared that she will have a Valentine concert on February 13, 2015 at the SM Sky Dome, dubbed as “Oo, Ako Na, Ako na lang Mag-isa! Samahan N’yo Naman Ako!” Derek Ramsay will be one of her guests.
