The veteran actors Zoren Legaspi and the basketball star-turned-actor Joey Marquez shared their reasons why they decided to accept their roles in the newest primetime series “Forevermore,” which was top-billed by Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.
Joey Marquez told the ABS-CBN News that he joined the series to work with the new breed of stars. He also said that they will learn a lot from them, which they didn’t know.
“Unang una, sabi ko it’s something I really want to experience. Number one, yung makatrabaho ko yung mga bagong bata. Akala nila kasi, porke matagal na kami sa movies eh okay na kami, magaling na kami, (pero) hindi,” he said.
Zoren Legaspi, for his part, said that he wanted to improve his acting skills again especially that he is picky on choosing roles and he haven’t worked for a series for a long time.
“Medyo pihikan ako pagdating sa roles. Kung mapapansin niyo nga, I haven’t been doing shows like this teleserye,” he said. He also added, “Kaya ako napapayag kasi I want to enhance again my talent, kasi napansin ko mangangalawang ka, lalo na sa memorization ng dialogues kasi iba yung script.”
Joey Marquez plays the role of Buboy “Papang” Calay, the father of Agnes (Liza Soberano), while Zoren Legaspi portrays the character of Alex, the father of Xander (Enrique Gil).
“Forevermore,” directed by the box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina, airs from Monday to Friday on Primetime Bida block after “Ikaw Lamang,” headlined by Piolo Pascual.
