The Cinemalaya Film Festival 2014 announcement of winners has finally took place naming the outstanding local films which reigned in the movie recognition body.
The awarding ceremony of one of the most popular film festival in the country happened on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). Among the category on the 2014 Cinemalaya Film Festival are Short Film, Director’s Showcase and New Breed.
Cinemalaya Film Festival is an annual-all-digital independent movie festival which aims to recognize the masterpieces of Filipino filmmakers and give honor for the excellent works of Filipinos in the field of cinematography.
The 2014 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival was held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Greenbelt 3, Trinoma and Alabang Town Center which premiered from August 1 to 10, 2014.

- Best Director, Director’s Showcase: Michael Tuviera of The Janitor
- Best Director New Breed: Giancarlo Abrahan of Dagitab
- Best Actor Director’s Showcase: Robert Arevalo of Hari ng Tondo
- Best Supporting Actress Director’s Showcase: Cris Villonco of Hari ng Tondo
- Best Supporting Actress New Breed: Barbie Forteza of Mariquina
- Best Supporting Actor Director’s Showcase: Nicco Manalo of The Janitor
- Best Supporting Actor New Breed: Miggs Cuaderno of Children’s Show
- BestMusical Score Director’s Showcase: Richard Gonzales of Kasal
- Best Musical Score New Breed: Erwin Fajardo of Bwaya
- Best Production Design Director’s Showcase: Harley Alcasid of Kasal
