Millions of Catholics Expected to Attend Pope Francis Mass in the Philippines

The world’s most respected religious leader, Pope Francis, the head of more than a billion Roman Catholics worldwide will visit the Philippines this coming July 15, 2014. According to estimates, more than a million Filipinos and other nationalities in Asia are expected to attend the “High Mass” in the province of Leyte.

The archdiocese of Palo, Leyte are now busy with their preparation of the Pope’s visit in the Visayas, the archdiocese already arranged and repaired some areas of the Archbishop’s Residence that was one of the severely hit building during the devastation brought about by super typhoon Yolanda.

According to some Catholic sources, the Archdiocese Residence in Palo, Leyte could be use by the Roman Catholic Pope on his personal appearance and get together with some survivors of the worst typhoon that hit the Philippines for the past few decades.

There’s some possibilities that the Pope will only spend a total of six hours or less on his visit with the Super Typhoon victims. The Pope is also scheduled to visit the Government Center of Palo, Leyte, Tacloban Airport, and Tacloban City Seaport.

Pope Francis will reportedly held his highly anticipated “High Mass” in Tacloban City, Leyte. According to some sources, authorities expects that there will be more than a million Roman Catholics who will attend the mass.

The Roman Catholic head is also expected to inaugurate the Pope Francis Center, an orphanage and a chapel located at the compound of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lord’s Transfiguration.
