ABS-CBN has released the first trailer of their newest series “Pure Love”, an adaptation of the hit South Korean TV series “49 Days”, starring Alex Gonzaga and Yen Santos.

The nearly 4-minute video was uploaded on the video-sharing site YouTube on Friday June 20, 2014. It was also aired on national television during the commercial gap of “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon”.
“Pure Love”, follows the story of Diane, to be portrayed by Alex Gonzaga, an optimistic bride-to-be who ends up comatose after she was involved in a car accident.
In her sate of being unconscious, Diane was told by a “Scheduler” (Matt Evans), a mysterious angelic who guides the souls to their last destination, that it was not yet her time to die because she needed to fulfill her mission first.
Diane should gather teardrops shed out of pure love or real love from three people, not related to her blood, in order to get back in her body. She only needs to accomplish her mission within 40 days.
She was also told that she can posses the body the suicidal person Ysabel (Yen Santos), to perform her task. However, Diane was not allowed to tell anyone about her situation.
Moments after the trailer was released, “Pure Love” and “49 Days” became a world wide trending topic in the micro-blogging site Twitter.

The series which also features Arjo Atayde, Joseph Marco, Yam Concepcion, Sunshine Cruz and John Arcilla will premiere on July.
