The tragic death of the Filipino-American model Helena Belmonte became the hottest topic online on Thursday, after she allegedly commits suicide at her condominium unit in Pasig City. Before her death, Helena Belmonte discussed suicide topics on her official Twitter account.
Helena Belmonte’s body was found by authorities on an air-conditioning unit exhaust vent at the 7th floor of Renaissance Tower 1000 in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The model’s boyfriend Marcel Crespo is the reported owner of Unit-E on the 28th Floor of the same building.
Police authorities in Pasig City headed by Superintendent Mario Rariza stated during an interview with Inquirer, that Helena Belmonte committed suicide. The police who investigated the case also found a suicide note but they refused to divulge its content.
Last March 9, 2014, Helena Belmonte discussed on Twitter about committing suicide, but only few of her followers took notice. The post garnered 8 Favorites and 10 Retweets on social media. She tweeted the following “Slash my wrists and hope to die,” she wrote.
Helena Belmonte also made a follow up tweet stating that she was “so sick of waiting for your next excuse,” although it wasn’t clear to whom it was directed. According to the initial report conducted by authorities, Helena Belmonte’s boyfriend, admitted that they had a fight recently, but they were able to patch things up before the death of the Filipino-American model.
The 28-year-old Helena Belmonte is the daughter of Lorraine Belmonte, the editor-in-chief of Appetite Magazine and Vice President and creative director of Mega Publishing Group.
