Taiwanese drama “Meteor Garden” is set to return on ABS-CBN as part of Kapamilya network’s 10th year anniversary for airing Asianovela.
ABS-CBN recently released a teaser trailer for the return of Meteor Garden on Philippine television through video-sharing site, YouTube on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
Meteor Garden stars with Barbie Hsu (Shan Chai) together with the popular F4 group composed of Jerry Yan (Dao Ming Si), Vic Zhou (Hua Ze Lei), Vanness Wu (Mei Zu) and Ken Chu (Xi Men).
Meteor Garden was first aired on ABS-CBN on 2003. Although the drama series ended, F4 continues to perform in various concerts and also released three studio albums which dominated in record bars and media outlets for its phenomenal craze.
Meteor Garden is based on Japanese manga series “Boys Over Flowers” featuring the hottest superstars from Taiwan. Meanwhile, the series has also been credited for the origin of “Asianovela Craze” in the Philippines which also breached in nationwide ratings with more than 50% viewing percentage.
Meteor Garden features the story of poor girl Shan Chai who goes to a university exclusive for the rich due to the insistence of his parents. Shan Chai will then meet four rich and handsome but arrogant students collectively known as F4 or “Flower 4.”
Dao Ming Si, Hua Ze Lei, Mei Zuo, and Xi Men, the heirs of the rich and influential families in Taiwan will spread terror on the school by giving a red card for the student which they do not like, allowing other student to bully the victim until he/she decided to leave the university.
