Perpetual Help showed near-flawless performance as the Altas Perps squad completed its five-peat championship in the NCAA cheering competition on Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
This is the eight title of Perpetual in this competition which started on 2003.

The Altas bested nine other competing teams namely San Beda Red Corps, the Golden Stags Cheerleading Squad, Arellano chiefs cheering squad, Mapua chirping Cardinals, the EAC Generals Pep Squad, the LPU Pirates Pep Squad, the JRU Bombers Pep Squad, the Letran Cheerleading Team All Stars, and the CSB Pep Squad.
Last season’s bride’s mate Arellano finished second in once again while Mapua, who was at sixth place last year, emerged third this time to complete the podium finishers.
The cheering competition capped the NCAA season 89, which was prevailed by San Beda as the over-all champion in senior division while Saint Benilde is the general winner in the juniors.
