Filipino-American aspiring singer and American Idol 2014 Top 13 finalist Malaya Watson was safe during the announcement of results in the American Idol Top 13 on Thursday (Friday morning Philippines).
Although the Fil-Am singer was included in the bottom three but she survived and will moved on to the next round of the competition. Malaya Watson joined MK Nobilette andKristen O’Connor in the bottom three of the Top 13 Finalist.
The Fil-Am Malaya Watson was the first to be called at the bottom three, during the performance of the Top 13, Malaya performed the song popularized by Bruno Mars titled “Runaway Baby.”
Out of the American Idol Bottom 3 Finalist, one contestant was sent home, in the end it was Kristen O’Connor was sent packing her things and ended her American Idol journey as Malaya Watson and MK Nobilette went on and proceed to the next round of the competition.
Before the announcement of winners of the American Idol Top 12, the Top 13 Finalist performed the song “Counting Stars” and the song popularized by Imagine Dragons “Radioactive.”
Aside from the Top 13 performance, American Idol alumni Candice Glover performs before the announcement of the American Idol Top 12.
