According to Huffington Post article, the Philippines was chosen as one of the “10 Places to Go” in the year 2014 because of the “cosmopolitan affordability and splendid nature” making the country as top destination that offers lot for the money.
The Philippines archipelago of 7,107 islands will appeal to “bargain hunters, outdoorsy types and the food obsessed.” The article listed some of the top destinations around the world that offer plenty of cheap ways to stay, play and eat.
Huffington Post also cited the Philippines inclusion in the elite list of Lonely Planet’s top value destination for the year 2014. As one of the “Top 10 Places To Go” in the world, the article cited Manila as one of the cheapest shopping and upscale dining destination in the world.
Aside from promoting the Philippines tourism the article also encourage its readers to visit the country, saying that the Southeast Asian nation needs a tourism boost following the devastation brought about by super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
