Comedian Vhong Navarro greeted Anne Curtis during her special birthday celebration on It’s Showtime on Monday, February 17, 2014 through a phone patch live in the noontime show.
The 37-year-old Vhong Navarro also made some jokes to the delight of the crowd and his fellow co-hosts in It’s Showtime. Anne Curtis just turned 29 years old on Monday.
During the phone patch, Vhong Navarro surprised Anne Curtis and was quoted as saying “Anne, pasensya ka na kung hindi ako nakapunta sa birthday mo, sa party mo. Kung wala man ako dun sa party mo, sa puso ko nandito ka naman lagi,” he said.
The “Dyesebel” star and birthday celebrant Anne Curtis said that she understands why Vhong Navarro was not able to go on her birthday parties. She was quoted as saying “Miss na miss ka na namin dito. We can’t wait na bumalik ka. Pero okay na sa akin na bumati ka. Very special. Ngayon lang namin narinig ang boses mo ulit dito sa ‘Showtime.’ Naiintindihan ko naman kung bakit wala ka dito basta mahalaga safe ka diyan,” she said.
Vhong Navarro cracked a joke during the exclusive phone patch interview, he stated that he will be waiting for Anne Curtis at her condominium unit.
The host actor and comedian stated “Huwag ka mag-alala Anne, kung hindi man ako nakapunta diyan para batiin ka ng live, mamaya pag-uwi mo sa condo mo nandun na ako,” he said, drawing laughter from his co-hosts and the madland people.
Vhong Navarro continued “Kung gusto niyo naman ako dalawin, nasa safe house naman ako. Nakatira ako ngayon sa condo ni Ryan (Bang). Safe na safe po ako sa condo ni Ryan, ibibigay ko po ‘yung address, puntahan niyo ako,” he added.
Vice Ganda also made a joke out of Vhong Navarro’s statement, he was quoted as saying “Vhong, hindi naman talaga yung party ang na-miss mo, Vhong. Ang namiss mo talaga ay ang dami kayang foods.” he said.
According to Anne Curtis she is thankful that Vhong Navarro is safe, kicking and greeting her that day, and that is enough for the actress. Anne Curtis also noted that it was the first time that we got to hear Vhong Navarro’s voice in the noontime show after the controversy involving Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo.
