Bruno Mars Super Bowl Halftime Show Record Breaker

The Seattle Seahawks made an astonishing blowout win 43-8 against Denver Broncos during the Super Bowl XLVIII (48) which garnered a record breaking 111.5 million TV viewers making it the most-watched television event in the history of the United States.

Aside from the Seahawks vs. Broncos highly-anticipated match up, Filipino-American Bruno Mars also made a record breaking with an estimated TV audience of 115.3 million.

The Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Pepper Super Bowl Halftime Show eclipsed the previous records set by world-renowned artists such as the previous record set by Madonna last two years with 114.0 million viewers, while Beyonce got a total of 110.8 million viewers last year.

The ratings was released by the Fox Network on Monday showing the Sunday’s game as a record setter for the most-streamed online sports event. The social media was dominated by Super Bowl related topics.

Twitter registered a whopping 25.3 million related tweets composed by 5.6 million authors who were logged before, during and after the Super Bowl XLVIII.

Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Pepper Halftime Show also registered a total of 424,000 tweets related to their performance. The 28-year-old Bruno Mars whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez dedicated his performance to his loving fans and supporters especially to his family in the Philippines and Puerto Rica, the country of origin of his parents.

The Grammy-award winning singer, Bruno Mars has already 10 million albums during his 3-year career as a local and international singer visiting various countries in the world to perform.
