Adam Silver guaranteed the NBA fans in London and Europe of having continuous regular season game after the success of Brooklyn-Atlanta match.
“It’s been fantastic. We have plans in place to continue playing regular-season games in London,” Silver said. “Right now we’re going to continue on the same course – an annual regular-season game, in London.”
Brooklyn Nets defeated Atlanta Hawks, 127-110 at the sell-out crowd O2 Arena in London. This is the second victory for the Nets, first was when they are still New Jersey against the Toronto Raptors.
Adam Silver, a soon-to-be NBA Commissioner replacing present Commissioner and NBA CEO David Stern, said that successful games in London show positive signs for the expansion of the competition to Europe.
“It’s most likely that if we were to come to Europe, it would be with a division rather than a single team, for the sake of logistics,” Silver said.
“And it’s something we’re going to continue to look at. Part of understanding the opportunity is to play games like this, to measure the response and go from there.”
