The Sinag Pilipinas national men’s basketball team of the Philippines continued their winning streak with a dominant win over their rival Indonesia pulling out an impressive 83-52 win in the 27th Southeast Asian Games basketball competition.
The national basketball team of the Philippines controlled the entire game against the Indonesian and they proved once and for all that the country is the team to beat in the SEA Games men’s basketball.
The Gilas cadet players dominated their Indonesian counterpart scoring with 49% field goals conversion compared to the 32% by the Indonesians.
The Philippines had a total of 38 rebounds while the Indonesians grabbed only with 28. The big man of the Sinag Pilipinas controlled the paint with a total of 56 points coming from inside the shaded lane compared to only 12 points from Indonesia.
The Sinag Pilipinas enjoyed their undefeated 5-straight wins in the SEA Games men’s basketball tournament.
