American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez announced on Monday that she will return to Philippines in three weeks to welcome the New Year, after staying in the country for more than a week.
Jessica Sanchez said in a press conference, “I’m just very excited to be here for New Year. I’m planning on having fun. It’s going to be a blast. I’ll get earplugs.”
The singer said, she will be performing songs from her album “Me, You and the Music” at a New Year’s event.
18-year-old Jessica Sanchez added that she will perform in Eastwood as she saw her huge pictures from last year, and she’ll be performing upbeat songs, from her album.
Jessica Sanchez made her New Year stint in the country and this is the fourth time she visit Philippines since her “American Idol” season ended.
The singer also said that going back in Philippines felt good, which she considered as her second home.
Jessica Sanchez is currently in Philippines to help the Starkey Hearing Foundation in their relief operations for the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda.
“When I was younger, I would tell my mom that if ever I get really really famous, I would love to give back to people who don’t have much. I want to be part of a charity so I’m very happy to be on this trip,” she said.
Jessica Sanchez also held an online charity concert recently, with the proceeds going to the Philippine Red Cross.
