A first year engineering student from Adamson University identified as Jethro Pechon falls to death from his 24th floor unit and landed into a kiddie pool at the seventh floor of Grand Tower II building in Taft Avenue, Malate on Saturday evening December 7, 2013.
According to a news report from ABS-CBN, based upon the initial investigations, roving security guard Raymond Aliado heard a loud splash of water and saw the victim in the seventh floor of the condominium, floating in the water.
Police investigators stated that there is a possibility that Pechon jumped deliberately after they discovered conversations between the victim and his girlfriend on his laptop. The statement made by police officers is contrary to the eyewitness account of a certain blogger at thatfilipina.wordpress.com who wrote about his account of the incident.
The Police are still waiting for the results of the autopsy, according to SOCO, the victim’s both legs were fractured aside from a deep cut on the right eyebrow which according to investigators were due to the strong impact after the fall.
Jethro Pechon was last seen alive at around 5:00 PM, by his roommate Dominic who left the condo unit to go to a school activity. The Pechon family who are living in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia were deeply saddened with the untimely demise of their loving son.
