Bong Revilla Out of Sugo as Eduardo Manalo in Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) Movie

Senator Bong Revilla will no longer play the lead role of Eduardo Manalo in the highly-anticipated movie, “Ang Huling Sugo (The Last Messenger). The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) movie is part of the church’s 100th year celebration.

The 47-year-old Senator Revilla cited the latest controversy involving him in the pork barrel issue is his main reasons why he back out from the project as he expressed concern that it might might the movie project.

The INC movie was first announced on November 2012 which will supposed to feature Ramon Revilla as Eduardo Manalo, the executive minister of Iglesia Ni Cristo. It will also feature Richard Gomez as Felix Manalo, the founder who initiated the foundation of Iglesia Ni Cristo in 1914.

Aside from Richard Gomez, veteran actor Albert Martinez will also play the role of Eraño Manalo, who took leadership of the church in the 1950’s.

The report of Senator Bong Revilla’s backing out of the project was first reported by Pep.ph. The entertainment news site also revealed citing a reliable source that Bong’s wife Lanie Mercado will no longer play the role as Eduardo Manalo’s wife in the movie.
