Don Michael Perez made an achievement in The Voice of the Philippines becoming the third contestant to make all four judges pushed their red button and turned their chairs towards him during the Blind Audition on Sunday, June 30, 2013.
The 22-year-old former music student dedicated his performance of Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours,” to his mother who left him in 2010. He had to give up his studies at the University of Sto. Tomas Conservatory of Music because of her mother’s chemotherapy treatment.
The singer from Palawan became emotional when all the four judges, Lea Salonga, Bamboo, Sarah G. and finally apl.de.ap of Black Eyed Peas, turned their chairs to signify their intentions of having him on their respective team.
Don Michael Perez also admitted that he had a crush on Sarah Geronimo but he finally decide to side with Team Bamboo.
