Javier Patino to Debut in AFC Challenge Cup Qualifier

Filipino-Spanish striker  Javier Patino of Spanish second division Cordoba FC will be playing for the first time wearing the Philippines national color together with Europe-based soccer players.

The 25-year-old former Buriram United of Thailand is one ofthe recognized footballer in the Asean region.

As a striker for Cordoba CF, Javier havealready scored a total of eight goals for his team and he was cited by some papers in Spain as one of the most promising athlete from Asia.

Javier Patino’s decision to play for the Philippine Azkals was deeply influnced by fellow Fil-Spanish Azkal Juani Guirado. His Filipina mother was also emotional upon learning his decision to play for the national team.

The Fil-Spanish striker will surely boosts the Azkals line-up composed of Fil-European namely Stephan Schrock, Neil Etheridge, Jerry Lucena, and Roland Muller to name a few.
