The Roman Catholic worldwide celebrated the announcement of the new Pope from Argentina, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio which will be named as Pope Francis.
The archbishop of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jorge Mario Cardinal Bergoglio was ordained Cardinal by Pope John Paul II on February 2001. Cardinal Bergoglio was born on December 17, 1936 and was ordained priest on December 13, 1969.
The 76-year-old Pope Francis, was the former President of the Bishop Conference of Argentina. Pope Francis is now the first Pope from non-European country particularly from the largest Roman Catholic community in the world, the Latin America.
