The Baltimore Ravens was crowned as the Super Bowl 2013 Champions after they defeated one of their toughest opponent, the San Francisco 49ers with the final score at 34-31 in favor of the Ravens.
The visiting Ravens were leading as much as 22 points, when the power lost at the Superdome for more than 34 minutes in the third quarter. The home team SF 49ers launched a fierce comeback, but they fell short until the very end in one of the most exciting finals in Super Bowl history.
Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was named as the Super Bowl MVP with his postseason stats:73-of-126 for 1,140 yds (9.05 YPA), 11 TDs & 0 INTs. Joe Flacco followed the footsteps of former quarterback Super Bowl MVP namely Brees, Rodgers, Eli Manning and finally Flacco.
