Facebook Might Owe You $10 From $20 Million Lawsuit

There’s a lot of doubt regarding the e-mail sent from Facebook’s legal department which turns out that it is not a spam. According to a news report posted by Mashable, Facebook just settled action lawsuit for $20 Million and is looking to pay out.

According to the letter sent by Facebook, If the estimated total of 150 million US FB users claim their cut, then nobody gets anything. The Facebook legal suit was settled last month over Facebook using people’s pictures in sponsored ads without their permission.

In order to avoid the case to court, Facebook offered $20 Million and the court approved the settlement. Facebook users especially from the US were getting email from [email protected] informing them of the lawsuit.

“If the number of claims made renders it economically infeasible to pay money to persons who make a timely and valid claim, payment will be made to the not-for-profit organizations on the Settlement website at “www.fraleyfacebooksettlement.com
