The Philippine Azkals wanted to end their Southeast Asian International Friendly Tour to be as memorable as it should be after they successfully tamed the roaring Lions of Singapore and right now they wanted to end their tour with another remarkable win against Laos.
The Azkals wanted to proved something and wanted to make a statement that the Philippines is indeed an emerging football nation and a win against Laos will cemented their current standings in Southeast Asia.
The Philippines is ranked higher compared to Laos but the team have prepared well although they will miss the service of the Younghusband brothers and Jerry Lucena, the depth of the Azkals’ bench will provide. One of the player to watch for the Azkals is the highest goal-scorer in the team of Laos, forward Lamnao Singto who made a name for himself during the 2011 SEA Games.
The man to watch for the Philippine team is the combination of Stephan Schrock and Chieffy Caligdong in the midfield and supported by Denis Wolf as forward of the Azkals.
