In the second half it’s a different story as the United States buried the Philippines with a double-digit lead but at the end of the second quarter, Jeff Chan unleashed a 3 pointer to put the score at 23-34 in favor of the United States.
Jeff Chan led the Filipinos attacked against the US team with his 11 points productions including his 3 three-pointers in the first half. Chan was followed in scoring by big man Marcus Douthit with a total of 6 points while the remaining Gilas’ players were struggling on their offense.
The US led the rebounding department with a total of 27 compared to the Philippines 15 rebounds in the first half.
