After the many discussions on how profits will be divided to open the new NBA season, both sides had finally decided to pursue an agreement.
December 25, 2011 marked not only Christmas Day but the opening of NBA’s new season. Most of the craving NBA fans were pleased upon hearing the good news.
The first face off of Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat for this latest season began on January 2, 2012 as the game took place in Miami’s home court.
During the first three quarters, the Heat fired up with a lead. Meanwhile, the Hawks opened a 15-3 run to put the score in control. The two players namely McGrady and Al Horford led on the said quarter. Each of them contributed 16 points for their team. On the other hand, Joe Johnson got a score of 21 points. This had hindered Miami Heat’s unbeaten title.
On the other hand, the three Scoring machines of Miami namely LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wayde gathered a score of 28, 19 and 12 points respectively. Wayde was able to have 10 (–foul word(s) removed–)ists for Miami.
However, these efforts were not enough to take their sixth game for the win.
McGrady described that his team was “great”. For him, there had been a great execution making it possible for them to succeed.
The Heat did not come any closer during the fourth quarter when Joe Smith successfully made the good shot on the left wing of the court.
Furthermore, McGrady got a score of 13 points. Looking back since November 2008, the news tells that it was probably his biggest gathered point for the last quarter.
This game gave Atlanta Hawks a new standing, with four wins and one loss. Whereas, Miami Heat has five wins and one loss as their new record.
This New Year, 2012, might signify a good start for other teams but not that well for others. Yet the new season is just starting and there is still more to watch.
