Creatures nowadays amaze us with their skills and even acts that we sometimes do not expect that they can do it. Dolphins, sea lions, whales are just some water creatures who can give us amazing tricks. But add this creature in the list, an octopus dragging itself to dry ground to hunt for food.

A crawling octopus was such a rare event, videoed by a family who was fortunately at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve that time. This report was released by Yahoo on Wednesday.

Everyone would be surprised to see this walking octopus for the first time. But then, research says that octopus crawling on dry land is not unusual at all.

According to Warburton, he had an experience chasing an octopus before. It was inside a tank. He described his experience as something like he chases a cat.

At times, some captivated octopuses know how to escape from their pens. While active, most of those octopuses were found in unusual space like in a teapot, along bookshelves, on carpets likewise to the aquariums on which they have been usually dining.

On the other hand, a walking octopus is not a common thing to be captured on camera. One reason is that, there is not much of a study about the creature. Octopuses just have a life for only three years. They are also known to be extremely shy creatures to the extent that they also avoid their own kind.

Indeed this world is full of surprises and this octopus had just proved it.
