US president Barack Obama listed as the most powerful people in the year 2011 by the Forbes Magazine.

After the United States of America’s success in killing al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and the Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, Barack Obama’s name became the talk all over the world as the US president who penetrated and claim victory over strong forces of militant group.

Obama declared as the most powerful man in 2011 has surp(–foul word(s) removed–)ed its closest competitor in the number one spot which is Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Landing at the number two spot is Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin while Hu Jintao places third in the list.

Entering on the number four spot is German Chancellor Angela Merkel making her as the most powerful women in 2011.

Forbes Magazine has describes United States of America as the undoubtedly most powerful country in the world with a military forces stronger than any other nations. Americas rising economy is one of the proof that the country truly deserves the title.

Although Obama’s rating in his own country has fallen down due to the rise of unemployment in America still his image towards the other countries has been satisfying.

Many were impressed after Bin Laden was reported dead back in May this year after he was shot by the American troops sent by the US headed by Barrack Obama.

America joining in NATO-led intervention in Libya became also a way in destroying the troops and killing the Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi last October.

Joining the list of most powerful people is Microsoft Corporation co-founder Bill Gates naming him as the first ever corporation executive who made it in the list.

Number 6 in the list is Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud which is the world’s largest oil produces and at number 7 is Pope Benedict XVI. In the eight spot is U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke while the number 9 spot was given to the 27-year-old head of social networking site Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Entering the circle of 10 is British Prime Minister David Cameron.
