Prior to the confirmation of the report about the extermination of the Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi it appeared as unconfirmed at first, but after several hours many pictures came out showing the bloody-faced of Col Gaddafi that proved his death.

Acting Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril confirmed the incident saying, “Col Gaddafi was shot in his head during the encounter between ‘National Transitional Council’ (NTC) fighter and Gaddafi’s loyalist. He died soon before his arrival in the hospital,” he said.

After hearing the news Libyan people were celebrating in towns and cities until late at night. There were group of men firing guns in the air and several drivers blowing their car horns in celebration.

Meanwhile, there was great depressing to Gaddafi’s sympathizers after following the news of his death.

Nato Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen is calling the Libyan people for the new era and to start building a new life with the new system of the government.

“I call on all Libyans to put aside their differences and work together to build a brighter future. That moment has now moved much closer,” Fogh Rasmussen said.

Col Muammar Gaddafi governed Libya for more than 42 years. After about 8-months of civil war in Libyan country, Gaddafi’s rule of fear has finally ended.
