In response to the invitation of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) to the Filipina Queen of All Media Miss Kris Aquino, upon knowing it she acted positively in response to the invitation.
“Kaya maraming maraming salamat po kasi karangalan ito na ibinigay niyo di lang sa akin, hindi lang sa pamilya ko, kung hindi karangalan po sa bansang Pilipinas,” Aquino said in Tagalog laguage during her morning show in ‘Kris TV.”
The invitation was made through the respectable Presidentail Adviser for Political Affairs Ronald Llamas when he arrived in the country on Monday October 10, 2011 after he attended the UNHCR Executive Committee meeting in Switzerland.

Aquino said that she was with Boy Abunda when they talked about the invitation, it was ten months ago and she almost lost her hope. But after the Exectutive Committee meeting in Switzerland a week ago, she then received the good news.
Aquino added that she will be attending an Executive meeting next week, it is official and confirmed although she has no papers yet.
According to the UNHCR the Ambassador of Goodwill would be the public face of the UN refugee agency to represent UNHCR all over the world with their popularity, celebrity, influence and hardwork.
UNHCR also speak about the basic requirements for the Ambassador of Goodwill, it must have a pure desire of helping people who are in need and eager to know about the refugee issues.
