Marikina is one of the most dangerous place to live, in Metro Manila. One of the most devastating floods that hit the Philippines caused by typhoon Ondoy concentrated on Marikina City. Floods hunts the residents of Marikina for the past few years.
For some reasons some of its residents had already transferred to other places in Metro Manila after they were hit by typhoon Ondoy. Yesterday September 27, 2011 the nightmare struck once again to the residents of Marikina after the Marikina River had once again overflows to its dangerous level.
Warning sirens have been heard throughout Marikina after the marker had reached its dangerous level wherein some areas were forcibly evacuated due to the flooding. There were 1700 families evacuated to specified evacuation center to minimize the danger of losing lives.
Typhoon Pedring and Marikina River had also been a hot topic on social media sites such as twitter and facebook. On twitter it became a worldwide trending. Due to the latest technology and social media sites updated photos and videos have been uploaded on the internet and was used by different news media organization on their reports.
