Captain America starring Chris Evans is set to Conquer Theaters

At least 3,715 theaters currently prepares to release the much-awaited “Captain America: The First Avenger” as the weekend is fast approaching.

Following the success of the magical series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 which collected $169.2 million, another hero is set to come forth to quench the thirst of many Marvel fanatics this summer.

“Captain America: The First Avenger” that was directed by Joe Johnston will be starred by Chris Evans. Under the Paramount Pictures, a budget reached at around $140 million to produce this Hollywood film.

On its first weekend release, officials of the Paramount Pictures anticipate to collect an estimated gross income not less than $55 million.

Recently in May, Paramount collaborated with Marvel to produce the film entitled “Thor” which was reported to earn $65.7 million.

While “Captain America” is about to conquer theaters this weekend, “Friends With Benefits” is also expected to come along. The R-rated movie called “Friends With Benefits” featuring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis was produced to combine romance with comedy. The production was worth $34 million.

According to Paramount’s Don Harris, competition is said to be visible. The final series of Harry Potter collected a huge income during its opening but reports say that the income currently diminishes at around 60 percent.

Surveys were conducted by NRG so as to know the extent of Captain America’s popularity among males. Among of them who are known to be below 25 years old, a percentage of 92 were recorded in terms of their familiarity to the said Marvel hero. Meanwhile, 59 % of them were found to have a huge interest to watch the film.

On the other hand, 91% among females raised their awareness for the upcoming film “Friends With Benefits”. There were 40% who showed interest while only 10% primarily choose to prioritize watching the said film.

Comic book superheroes seems to flood in theaters worldwide. With this, an idea was brought up saying that there could have been a small percentage that some audiences might go tired of the same genres in the movie industry.
