Muammar Gaddafi, the Libyan leader had announced to vow for revenge to Europe if they are not to stop in attacking Libya’s government territory as a form of support to the Libyan rebels who are against his leadership.
In a telephone based speech delivered, he stressed that Libya could attack Europe in the same manner Europe had attacked them ruining their houses and properties. Gaddafi added that members of NATO will suffer if they don’t stop involving themselves in the crisis.
“We advise you to retreat before you face a catastrophe… If we decide to, we are able to move to Europe like locusts, like bees,” Gaddafi said.
This statement was made after the 100 days of NATO’s presence in Libya trying to find means in solving conflicts in the mentioned country.
Gaddafi had his telephone speech in loudspeakers in front of the thousands of his supporters conducting rally in Tripoli’s Green Square. This rally is considered to be one of the biggest gathering of his followers wherein they had carried banners and pictures of Gaddafi as an expression of support.
Aside from urging his supporters to take revenge to European families and people for the damage they had brought to their country according to him, he also blamed the rebels for the problems that Libya is facing right now.
To recall, Libyan crisis started out four-months ago and the conflict had caused death, lost of lives and damage of properties. Many migrant workers also lost their jobs as conflict continue to flame.
Various reasons are cited pushing rebels to fight against Gaddafi’s administration especially that he had been leading Libya for more than 40 years.
Attempts to end the war in the Libya are being called by various sectors from the international community.
