The “1st Annual Glee: The Music Awards” which was presented by Columbia Records and 2oth Century FOx has nominated international singing sensation Charice as Best Guest Performance and Best Duet category. The show that will be hosted by Hollywood celebrity blogger Perez Hilton will be streamed live on his website www.perezhilton.com.
The awarding ceremony will take place on May 31, 2011, Thursday at 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time live via Livestream. It will also feature live performance of Glee’s Jacob Ben-Israel a.k.a. “Jew-Fro”.
Charice who plays the role of an exchange student Sunshine Corazon was one of the favourite to win the Best Guest Performance although she will be going up against prominent names in the show. She will compete against Holly Holiday, Doris Sylvester and Carl Howell.
Sunshine Corazon as what she was known at the show will showcase her song “Listen,” that will compete against two songs from Holly Holiday titled “Forget You” and “Turning Tables.” The two other songs were “Ohio” by Doris Sylvester and “What Ever Happened To Saturday Night” by Carl Howell.
In the duet category the song “Telephone,” a Lady Gaga original which she performs with Rachel was considered also as one of the contender. Meanwhile Rachel her partner was nominated four times in this category with different partners.
