Former Idol Judges Paula and Simon Reunited on “The X- Factor”

Two former American Idol judges, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell reunited in the new television show produced by Cowell, “The X Factor”.

X Factor is a singing competition which will debut this fall. Joining the two in judging the contestants are British pop star Cheryl Cole and Grammy-winning producer Antonio “L.A.” Reid.

The news started to spread that Abdul will be part of the show’s panel after the (–foul word(s) removed–)ociated Press reported it last Saturday. The show already taped its first judging session last Sunday at the University of Southern California.

According to the statement released by Cowell he said that this show would never have been the same without Paula and added that he missed Paula a lot, and that he is really thrilled that she is part of the show.

When Abdul was ask about being the part of the show she said that she is excited beyond words and delighted that he will be with Simon again.

Abdul is a dancer and choreographer who once a American Idol judge and known for being nice and sometimes dizzy-seeming judge who often debate with Simon who in the other hand known for being the resident bully. Abdul left American Idol in 2009 after the eight seasons.

The information that Abdul will be part of the show was held up as negotiations continued until the eve of the first taping of the show; this is according to a person who is familiar with the negotiation. The person did not reveal himself because Fox and the show’s producers had not authorized public comment.

The media tried to ask for a comment coming from the representative of Abdul but it did not respond from the request.

Last Saturday, the fox already confirmed to the public that the host in the show will be Steve Jones and Nicole Scherzinger. Jones is a popular TV host in Britain, while Scherzinger is known for being a former member of the famous girl group the Pussycat Dolls who once appeared in the British version of “The X Factor.”

The show is open for solo singers and the vocal group who are in age 12 and up and the winner in this competition will get $5million record contract.
