Andal Amapatuan Sr. asked Quezon City court to let him examined by a doctor after he suffered pain in the past few days which is according to him is the effect of his prostate ailment. He seeks for permission of the court so that he will be given the right treatment in the hospital immediately.
The Amputuan patriarch submitted a two-page urgent motion to the court asking them that he must be refer to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology physicians to examine the pain he is experiencing in his legs and foot.
Also included in the urgent motion of Ampatuan, is the permission ask by the accused that he must be confined or must under go treatment at a government hospital or facility if the doctor of the BJMP ordered so.
The appeal was filed at the court last Monday and it reads “(Andal Sr.) respectfully moves for his immediate referral to and confinement in any government tertiary hospital as he has been suffering from sharp, continuous pain in his swollen right leg and foot that may be caused by his recurring prostate ailment,”.
As of now the appeal is still on pending process and Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes of Regional Trial Court Branch 221 will set a date for the hearing of Ampatuan’s appeal for confinement in the hospital.
Andal Sr. is one of the person’s accused behind the November 23, 2009 incident where 57 people where ambushed and killed in Ampatuan, Maguindanao province.
The elder Ampatuan was detained at Metro Manila District Jail in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City together with his son Andal jr and several others who were said to be the primary suspect in the Maguindanao Massacre.
In the motion, Ampatuan Sr. appealed to the court that he must be given a full medical examination to determine the cause of pains in swollen right leg and foot.
On the other hand, four of the suspects in the massacre are set to be arraigned on Wednesday in a hearing at Camp Bagong Diwa and they are Misuari Ampatuan, Tato Sampogao, Taya Bangkulat and Salik Bangkulat.
