Television host and actress Anne Curtis is the first Filipino celebrity who has garnered 1 million followers on Twitter.
Curtis thanked everyone who has been following her in the social networking site.
Curtis posted in her Twitter account “Wooooow! 1-million followers! Thank you to all of my fans following here on Twitter! And also hanks to everyone who wanted to follow and continue reading all the nonsense story, foolishness and casual thoughts I like to share.”
According to Curtis Twitter has become a medium to bridge the gap between multiple people around the globe like her and her supporters, and she is grateful about that.
She added Twitter has also become a way for everyone to reach the people especially to her for millions of fans following her in the social network and to reach the people she wants to.
“I love social network like Twitter for bringing it possible for me to have easy communication and to get update and feedback from you guys and as well as it is also a way for me to follow the people I admire,” she said.
Being the first Filipino local celebrity to reach this m(–foul word(s) removed–)ive number of followers and supporters, Curtis said: “Cheers guys and again I want to thank you for the love and support! ‘Waaaaaaaah!’. You all made my day! Love you all!”
“I wish I could thank everybody that congratulated me, but I think I cannot finish this within a month! Hahahahahaahaha,” she added.
Curtis has official 1,003,855 followers on Twitter as of posting time.
