The Power of Positive Thinking

A mental attitude in which we accept things, situations or circumstances that are conductive to growth, success, expansion and improvement is what we called the “Positive Thinking”. It anticipates joy, health, happiness and a successful outcome or result of every situation and action. It believes that everything happens for a reason and there is learning in every situation or any circumstance. Whatever the minds expects, it finds.

Sometimes we are bound by the negatives that surround us. What we feel, see and hear is all negative. We think that everything is falling and there is nothing that we can do about it. Negative Thinking restrains us from soaring high and achieving more. In order for us to overcome this, we need to turn our minds toward the positive and it requires inner work and training. Here are the several ways how to think positive:

  1. Whatever you may encounter, think about the benefits that you can get and push yourself to try it. The power of thoughts is mighty and it always shaping our lives. Usually it happens subconsciously, but it is also possible to make the process a conscious one.
  2. Even if the situation is not favorable or the idea seems to be strange, give it a try as you think that you have nothing to lose, but only to gain.
  3. Ignore what others might say or think about you, that you cannot do it. It only pulls your hopes and dreams away from you.
  4. Use positive words when talking with others or in your inner dialogues.
  5. Smile often, it helps you to think positively.
  6. Removed or disregard any feelings of laziness or a desire to quit.
  7. Once a negative thought enters your mind, be aware of it and replace it with the positive one.
  8. If you feel the inner resistance when replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, do not give up, but keep looking only at the beneficial, good and happy thoughts in your mind.
  9. It takes some time for the changes to take place, but eventually they do. Remember, if you persevere you will transform the way your mind thinks.

Let us remember that “What man thinks, so he is”.
