36 people died and more than 100 were wounded when a suicide bomber blow himself up in a funeral in Northwestern Pakistan last Wednesday.

Most of the victims were anti-Taliban Militiamen who attended the said funeral. The incident took place close to the city of Peshawar which is not far from the tribally administered regions that border Afghanistan, where militants are at their strongest.

According to the reporters, the place was home for several tribal armies which are supported by the government. Many were not shocked of what happened because just like what is happening in the most part of Northwest Pakistan where militants are being targeted by the insurgents.

“Around 300 people attended the funeral for the wife of a militiamen in the Matani area when the bomber strike.” said by police officer Zahid Khan.

One of the TV footage in the place showed men gathering blooded sandals and caps of the victims where the mourners have gathered.

Witnesses in the incident describe the suicide bomber was in his late teens, he showed up at the funeral just as it was to begin. Syed Alam Khan said that he thought the youth was just attending the funeral, but suddenly he pulled out a bomb.

Victims were brought to the Peshawar Hospital. Jamal Shah one of the doctors in the hospital said that there were 36 bodies brought in their hospital and more than 100 wounded in the blast.

Al Qaeda and Taliban militants are joining forces together to war against the Pakistan State for their bases in the northwest.

Armies in the place has already launched several offensives against the militants and encouraged the formation of private armies to help them out to fight against the militants.

While regular bombing is occurring in the country, Pakistan government (–foul word(s) removed–)ured their men that they are already winning against the militants.
