Eye tracking is one of the most complicated technology ever developed and incorporated it with the commonly-used gadget, the computers. Laptops and computers were controlled by hand movements through the use of mouse, touch pad and touch screens.
Tobii technology the maker of the first-ever eye tracking technology, together with Lenovo, a laptop maker company have joined hands in achieving one of the highly anticipated innovation in computing. With a total of 20 prototype, the eye-controlled laptops were displayed during the CeBIT Technology Fair in Hanover, Germany.
The eye-controlled laptops used eye-tracking technology that was developed by Tobii Techonology, a Swedish company. Barbara Barclay, general manager of Tobii North America was quoted as saying that “it makes the laptop more efficient.” She further adds that  “we anticipate that people will be extremely excited to be able to control their computer with their eyes.”
Motion controls are one of the most-commonly used technology especially in gaming but with the advent of eye-controlled technology those innovations are but a shadow of the past. Here comes the future of computing.
The prototype will not be available until the final tests are made and m(–foul word(s) removed–) productions are realized. Tobii technology have been working for such a big project starting from the year 2001. The technology will not ultimately replaced the mouse and track pads but it will further enhanced the experience in computing.
