The 30 kilometers away from Bacolod City is considered the summer capital of Negros Occidental. Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia is a cool climate perfect place for vacation especially during summer.
The 24-hectares Mambukal Resort is owned by the Negros Occidental provincial government has developed a wide array of accommodation facilities from overnight cottages, day-use cottages, camping grounds and even a food court. The thermal sulfur springs believed to heal skin diseases attracts most of the domestic and foreign tourists.
Mambukal has numerous beautiful natural resources like fresh cold water that runs freely from the series of seven falls that feed into natural swimming pools and a wide boating lagoon, the huge population of nocturnal bats hangs in the tall trees, and the man made hanging bridges which culminates in a thrilling attraction called slide for life.
The grandeur beyond compare is the reason that attracts Manuel Pangilinan to consider for good investment in the province.
He said “We have heard about its potential as a mountain resort (and of its being) a cool place,” adding that he will visit the place on his next trip to the province, hopefully, next month.
Pangilinan said “they are eyeing the development of medical tourism and the establishment of a Spa Resort in partnership with the Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital in Bacolod City where patients can convalesce”.
“Pangilinan has not spoken to him about his firm’s interest in Mambukal yet”. Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said.
But he added the provincial government is open to discussion with Pangilinan if he is interested in investing in Mambukal.
The Negrense is looking forward for more job opportunities can be provided by the province in partnership with the Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital in Bacolod City.
