Kidapawan City residents were scared by reports of an alleged white lady being spotted on a bridge in Cotabato.

On Thursday, February 15, 2024, a photo of the alleged white lady standing on the bridge in Barangay Bannawag, connecting to Barangay Pisan in Kabacan, North Cotabato, went viral on Facebook.

According to a post, a resident of Barangay Bannawag, riding a motorcycle, spotted the supposed white lady on the bridge and managed to take a picture of it.

Due to the social media post, residents of Kabacan, especially the youth passing by the bridge at night, felt intense fear. However, upon investigation by the LGU-Kabacan, it was revealed that the photo of the white lady was heavily edited.

The purpose of editing the photo was to remind the youth not to loiter on the bridge during nighttime, especially considering the curfew for minors in Kabacan City.

The person who posted clarified that they had a picture of the bridge and sent it to a friend, who then edited it back, adding a white lady standing on the bridge. This was only done as a joke.

Authorities remind everyone to be responsible with their posts and only share true information to avoid causing unnecessary fear among people.
