Malaysian Police Arrested Three Citizens for Planned Attacks

Malaysian police arrested three citizens that support Islamic State militant group for the alleged planning of several attacks in Kuala Lumpur on Independence Day celebration.

In Kuala Lumpur three men were arrested by the Malaysian police for the planned attack on the entertainment center, police station, and Hindu temple. The three men have allegedly received instructions from Malaysian Islamic State fighter Muhammad Wanndy Muhammad Jedi for the attack.

“All three suspects were planning to leave for Syria to join the Islamic State terrorist group … after successfully carrying out the attacks,” said by Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar quoted by GMA.

Malaysian police arrested three citizensOne of the three suspects caught carrying a handgun and 24 bullets. The suspects disguised as butcher, drink seller, and driver. Also, a grenade was seized from the suspects.
