Blockbuster Kapamilya star Vice Ganda and former Independent film veteran Coco Martin announced through social media that they started working together on their first film project, which was announced six months ago by their mother station, ABS-CBN. The Star Cinema movie featuring Vice Ganda and Coco Martin is still untitled as of posting time, but the film outfit earlier stated that they will make an announcement once everything are final.
The announcement of Vice Ganda and Coco Martin’s movie project was first revealed on Instagram by Vice Ganda as he shared a photo of him with Coco Martin with a caption: “We’ll make it bigger together. Soon! #TutoyAndDengdeng”
Another photo also emerged online with the same hashtag shows the two inside a conference room. According to some showbiz reporters, the named “Tutoy” was Vice Ganda’s nickname as a kid, while “Dengdeng” is what close friends and family call Coco Martin.
In an interview with ABS-CBN Vice Ganda noted that “”Expected na namin [na magiging magaan ang pagtatrabaho namin]. Itong movie na ‘to, napaka espesyal sa amin kasi ‘yung collaboration, nanggaling sa aming dalawa ‘yung konsepto,” he said.
The phenomenal comedian Vice Ganda was responsible with the country’s top grossing movie of all time, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin with an estimated box office gross income reaching more than P456 million.
