Yet contrary to the decision made by the Indonesian authorities, country’s giant newspapers came on race for the news of the execution of the convicted Veloso, Wednesday.

In the photos posted in Coconuts Manila online news portal, Inquirer headlined the news with—“Death came before dawn” which more likely concluded that Veloso was executed.

In the report posted at the website, the news article was titled “Inquirer kills Mary Jane Veloso, plus a look at Bulletin’s and Star’s headlines.”

The news as confirmed by Philippine authority then came that Veloso was relieved from the execution.

Manila Bulletin and The Philippine Star in the same end put a safer mark headlining their early release with “No delay in execution” and “Screaming for mercy”, respectively.

Now Veloso, alive, is back at prison and is set to give her testimonies against the recruiter who she accused as the one who gave her the suitcase with illegal drugs to be delivered to Indonesia.
