According to population expert’s the 100 million population will arrive in the country at around 12:06 AM of July 27. The PSA will provide P5,000 worth of basic provisions for babies who will served as the symbolic 100 million baby.

The P5,000 prize will be given to each of the 100 babies born in local government units (LGUs) across the country as chosen by the Commission on Population (Popcom).

Popcom executive director Dr. Juan Antonio Perez III clarified that “Only babies born at 12:06 AM and beyond, meaning at 12:016 AM or seconds/minutes later, will be chosen to be part of the 100 symbolic babies.” Perez said.

According to Popcom, the symbolic 100-million babies “will usher hope for a better quality of life as they epitomize the challenge to make every Filipino count in the country’s development,” Perez added.
