The 2013 DOST-SEI S&T Scholarships official list of qualifiers were already released the Department of Science and Technology on Sunday, March 24, 2013.
The DOST Undergraduate Science and Technology Scholarship programs were categorized into two groups, the RA 7687 or Science and Technology Scholarship Program and the Merit Scholarship Program.
The RA7687 scholars are those families whose socioeconomic status does not exceed the set values of certain indicators as approved by the Advisory Committee on the S&T Scholarships.
The Merit scholars are those who are above the standards of RA 7687. According to the details released by DOST, out of the 25,696 high school seniors who took the scholarship examination there are only 3,597 who qualify for the scholarship program.
Out of the 3,587 p(–foul word(s) removed–)ers there are 2,791 belongs to RA 7687 while only 486 were part of the Merit Scholars. The rest are some potential qualifiers who are put on hold pending re-evaluation of some requirements.
