Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire arrived to his beloved homeland, the Philippines after his sensation win against five-time champion Jorge Arce of Mexico. The Filipino world titlist arrived at NAIA without his wife.
Donaire touched down to the Philippines via Philippine Airlines flight PR 105 at 5:45 A.M., December 19, 2012. He was welcomed by hundreds of his fans and supporters at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2.
The Filipino champion Nonito Donaire retained his WBO Super Bantamweight Belt after his victory against Arce, the Mexican he knocked out on the third round at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).
