The 2012 Miss International was held in Okinawa, Japan on October 21, 2012, declaring Miss Japan candidate Ikumi Yoshimatsu as the winner. The 52nd edition of the Miss International was attended with a total of 69 candidates from different countries and territories around the globe.
Miss Philippines representative, Nicole Schmitz failed to make it to the top 5 of the competition although she managed to be included in the Final 15. The winner from Japan Miss Ikumi Yoshimatsu was crowned by 2011 winner Miss Ecuador, Fernanda Cornejo.
