The Award-winning young actor Jiro Manio voluntarily confined himself for a rehabilitation program due to drug abuse.
His father Andrew Manio confirmed the issue during the interview in an entertainment talk show, “Showbiz News Ngayon“. Jiro’s father said that while his son was still on the taping for “Tayong Dalawa” , Jiro seemingly gave up his career because his peers had influenced him to use prohibited drugs.
Although Manio had been disobedient to his parents as he turned irresponsible on managing his showbiz career back then, Andrew Manio is now happy knowing that his son starts dedicating himself to turn into a better person.
Manio left his own family in the custody of his father as he promised that once he get well, he will return to showbiz so that they will be able to buy a house for them to live together as one happy family, Andrew said.
His showbiz mentor, Maryo J. Delos Reyes believes that the actor will still be able to make a show in the industry once again.
According to Delos Reyes, it seems that Jiro will not run out of projects just like any other actors and actresses who have gone from the rehab. He also suggests to give them chance because for him, talents will always remain.
“The industry has always a space for talented people,” Delos Reyes thought.
