This is a Follow-Up Letter Sample you may use as a guide.

FOLLOW-UP LETTER SAMPLE – Here are some important tips and guides and a sample when you write a Follow-Up Letter for a certain purpose.

After an interview and have not heard anything back from the company you applied with, you have two options: wait for the call or send a follow-up letter. However, while you want them to be reminded of your application and qualifications, you might don’t want them hounded.

Here are some things to consider when writing this specific type of letter:

  • If they haven’t called you after a week or two since you sent your application, consider sending a letter.
  • Be polite and NEVER accuse the employer of forgetting or ignoring you.
  • Assuming that the hiring manager is busy, the shorter your letter would be better. Always be straightforward about who you are and why you are writing this letter.
  • Briefly state your best skills and the reason why the company should hire you.
  • To avoid errors, always run through your letter carefully for some edits proofreading.

Manager, XYZ Company
Red Corner, 789 Street

Dear Miss Beverly Scott:

I have submitted a letter of application and a resume to you last August 20, 2001, for the position of Content Blogger in XYZ Company. However, to date, I haven’t heard from your good office. I am writing you this letter as I would like to reiterate my interest in the job and the receipt of my application.

I believe my skills and experience would be an essential match for this position. I have worked for four years in my previous employer as a Content Writer and have contributed to its growth and improvement. I have also attended several seminars and training related to this field which makes me fit for this position and company.

I look forward to hearing from your good office. Please feel free to contact me at 454-3456 in case you need references or any other information. Thank you!

Sincerely,
